Tim Fetherstonhaugh
Tim has been involved with powerboat racing since 1989, when he competed in the OA class winning the national title in
his first season and also earning himself the title of junior sportsman of the year. He moved into F3 at the age of 17 and won the Formula 3 title for three years in a row. He was selected to race for Lindenberg Racing at the end of the 1998 season at the Port Alfred race where he finished an incredible second in his first ever Formula 1 race.
Tim has represented South Africa during international powerboat races on South African waters, as well as in the Middle East and the latest in Singapore in 2011. Throughout his Formula 1 Career, Tim has been consistently finishing in the top five overall and during the 2009/2010 season, he was able to WIN the South African F1 Powerboat Championship title for the first time.
For 2012, Tim has been selected to race for Team South Africa in the UIM F1h2o World Championship where he will race as part of a two boat team in the Nations Cup. There are 2 races so far confirmed for the Nations Cup with the first being held in Khor Fakkan - Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates on the 28th, 29th, and 30th of March 2012. The second confirmed race will be held in Durban, South Africa on the 19th, 20th, and 21st of October 2012.
