What is the F1H2O Nations Cup?
International Ordinary Races sanctioned by the National Authorities of the Countries where the race will be organised. The overall winning Nation will be determined by the sum of the 3 best results out of the 4 scored within 2 races by the 2 boat teams representing the Country.
RACE EVENT FORMAT
Each Nations Cup Race will follow the same format and will take place over 4 days. Local cultures and traditions also effect the days of the race events, so it might not be the case that the event will take place on a weekend.
Day 1
The first day of the event will consist of drivers briefing and allocations of boats and propellors through a lottery procedure. This keeps the competitve spirit equal where drivers race in different boat and engine at each event.
Day 2
On day two, the drivers again attend a drivers briefing and then make preparations for the first practice session in order to familiarise themselves with the boat. Day 3
Day three consists of the secon practice session in the morning, followed by the timed qualifying session which finalises the starting order for the Feature Grand Prix on the fourth day. After the timed qualifying session, the Team content the first point scoring event called the Match Race. Two boats contend each Match race where they each do 2 laps around a long and a short course. Each driver needs to do a long and a short lap and the fastest driver progresses to the next round until the final two fastest boats compete for ultimate victory. |

Day 4
We got the idea when watching a round of A1 car racing event. The format is applicable to powerboating where we can gather the best drivers from all over the world through their NA and have them competing with identical boats and engines.
